Note from Ashley regarding the Freedom Sings events:
The “Freedom Sings” show is a multi-media presentation that presents the First Amendment specifically with a wry presentation of song censorship over the last century in this country. The script was written by Ken Paulson who is the editor of USA Today and it is equally funny, entertaining and sobering. The music is comprised of songs that have been banned over the years for various reasons and the songs are performed by a large rotating band of 7 or 8 fantastic musicians. The shows are not always open to the public but if anyone wanted to attend, I would think it wouldn’t be too difficult—just contact the venue—it is really a great, important event.
