Hi Ashley, Just a note to say how much of a blessing your music is to me. Curious, though, why Lesson Of Love is no longer available? Seems a shame to deprive people of such a wonderful album. Ha Ha Love ya! Bill

Hi Ashley! I met you last weekend at Doing Good Well conference. I can't thank you enough for your inspiring music--that and your many anecdotes have resonated with me all week. I thank Laity Lodge and CIVA for introducing me to you and your exceptional gifts. Thanks also for leading us to broken and beautiful places--even though you don't think of yourself as a leader!! Blessings to you. Kathrine

Saw you last night with the Transatlantic Sessions. The way you closed the first half was just magical. Looking forward to seeing you for a whole show of your own in London as soon as possible.

Just back from the Transatlantic Sessions gig in Dublin. Absolutely brilliant. Sorry to say I hadn't heard you before but I bought your Cd at the interval. My wife and I will be listening to this a lot. Thanks for a great gig. P.s. those musicians are something else aren't they? It must have been great to be a part of that. look forward to seeing you on the TV show if there's another series.

Hi Terry--we were absolutely blown away with the band--it was one of the most musical groups of musicians we've ever played with. Thanks so much for writing. |

I'm a singer who happens to be a Christian, and who gravitates towards singing and performing old-timey hymns and songs. I've just now discovered you, when I read your interview in Marshall Chapman's newest book. I looked you up on Youtube, and I just can't get enough of your music! I always have steered away from a lot of Christian music because it was a bit too synthetic and didn't seem "real" (a terrible thing to think, but lots of us Christians still like to rock!). Now I truly know that I've been mistaken. I just wasn't looking in the right places. :D Rock on, my sister in Christ. and God bless you and yours. :)

Hi Caryn--so glad you like the music--I share your feelings in many ways. Sometimes I feel like one of Horton's Whos--"We are here, we are here!" All the best to you and your music. |

In a recent entry, Ashley, you wrote about wishing you could visit the Northeast more often. Sounds like it would make us both happy, and a lot of others, too! How can we make that happen? Can we get everyone on your mailing list who is in New England (for example) pool our resources? It's been waaaaaaaaaay too long!

Ashley replies:
Hi Rick--the Northeast is something of a dead zone for me--which is a total drag because it's one of my favorite places. I'll ask my agent to work on it again--and you can see if your church or another in the area would host. Thanks for the enthusiasm |

When my Father died, I was 500 miles away. I had just prayed with him two days before. Your song. THERE'S A LIGHT. was all I listened to for weeks, and then I could write again. Thanks for the healing. WE WILL ALL GO.

Thanks Paul--my dear friend Beth Nielsen Chapman wrote that song as her husband was dying of cancer. To me it is the closest thing to true hymn that has been written in the last 50 years. So sorry about the loss of your dad |
